The Common Room Table was originally designed by Daniel Schofield to explore the use of lower timber grades, the triangular form of the base came about as a practical solution for patching wood knots and splits.
VG&P picked up the concept and collaborated with Daniel to refine his design, making it suitable for a range of workspaces and communal work settings, be it a board room, meeting room or reception area.
The base of the table has a concealed door for discreet cable management as well as being open underneath for easy access to power. Any number of table lids and power/data units can be integrated into the table top. Bases can be connected with a beam for larger tables with split tops, offering even more flexibility for any cable management solution.
